Q: How do I reserve a timeslot?
A: It's a simple three step process. Pick a rack based on
the workbook you are using and then look at the online
calendar for availability. Send payment for the timeslot or
bulk timeslots you desire. Email us the dates and times you
want. Refer to the Rates Page for more information
Q: How many racks do you have?
A: We have three racks currently.
Q: Which racks have four switches including dual Catalyst
3560 Switches?
A: All three racks have four switches available for you to
use.
Q: How do I logon on to use my rack time once I purchase it?
A: Once payment is received and you have reviewed the online
calendar and sent us an email of the dates and times you
desire, we will send you login instructions. You will telnet
to the terminal server over the internet to gain access to
the devices.
Q: What features do your routers have?
A: The core routers run the latest IOS and advanced ip
services or enterprise plus fw/ids. This enables them to
support IPv6, BGP, OSPF, RIPv2, MPLS, QOS and other features
needed for your cisco certification needs.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept paypal, credit cards through paypal (you do not
need a paypal account), western union, wire transfer and
company and personal checks.
Q: What is your timeslot cancellation and change policy?
A: Once you reserve a timeslot you can change it to another
time or day - provided you give us at least 48 hours advance
notice. Providing us with less than 48 hours notice does not
allow us sufficient time to resell the timeslot.
Q: Can I purchase bulk timeslots and then reserve the
timeslots over time as needed?
A: Yes you do not need to schedule all the timeslots at
once. You can reserve them at your convenience based on
availability.
Q: Should I use your diagrams and base configs or the vendor
diagrams and base configs?
A: You should use the diagrams and any base configs provided
on our website. They are optimized to match our layout with
the vendors layout and reflect any differences in the
configs for you. You do not have to use them but then you
will have some manual changes you will need to make to get
the configs working. For example the vendor may use E0 while
we use FE0/0.
Q: What vendor workbooks do you support and what if I have a
vendor you do not list?
A: We support Internetwork Expert, IPexpert, Netmasterclass,
Unitek, Solie. If you have a diagram showing your
connectivity needs - just email it to us and we will develop
a diagram to support your needs.
Q: Can I self study for my CCIE using your equipment?
A: Yes, you do not need to purchase workbooks or other
study aids. Some people prefer to learn the technologies
themselves using manuals, books, cisco doc cd and hands on
experience with the routers and switches.
Q: How much does it generally cost to get my CCIE?
A: That depends a lot on whether you are doing all self
study, purchasing workbooks, attending a bootcamp and using
other prepaid services. The written and practical exam
costs are close to $1500 and several workbooks are available
for a few hundred dollars. The higher end costs would
include a bootcamp and workbooks totaling about $4000.
Q: How do I power the rack on or off or reboot devices?
A: We have step by step instruction available on the website.
Go to http://ccie4u.com/power.shtml or power2.shtml or power3.shtml for rack 1, rack2 and rack3 respectively.
Q: What are the differences between a 3750 and 3560 switch?
A: There are minor differences between the two models.
